Fashion Store Supervisor

As Store Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to play an essential role in opening the first store of Van der Valk Plaza Resort Bonaire, called “Trento.” With your experience and knowledge, you know how to create a unique shopping experience for customers. You have an eye for interior design and fashion, as well as a talent for sales. If a customer finds the perfect piece of clothing with your help, you know how to upsell an accessory—you actively and naturally sell all our items. You have an eye for detail and ensure that the store always looks good. You regularly vary the product range to keep it appealing and fresh for our customers. You will be responsible for the daily operations and transferring your passion for our quality products to both staff and customers. YOUR DAILY TASKS INCLUDE:

• Opening and closing the store;

• Managing inventory and signaling when it needs to be replenished;

• Regularly changing and restocking the product showcase to make the store look appealing for customers;

• Pricing new products;

• Assisting customers and (proactively) selling (additional) products;

• Onboarding and training staff, and creating schedules in the future;

• After the official opening, determining our target audience and their needs. Such as: which opening hours work best? Which products are the most popular? Which are less so? This way, we can optimally match supply and demand;

• Providing optimal service to customers and ensuring this within the store team.

WHO ARE WE? 

Our all-inclusive resort is located in the most beautiful spot on Bonaire: right by the sea. Our guests can snorkel and dive from the beach to admire one of the island's most beautiful reefs. They also enjoy stunning views of Klein Bonaire from our beach. In the near future, we will open our first store, Trento, in our brand-new main building. This store will offer not only hotel guests but also local residents a wide range of high-quality clothing, swimwear, (fashion) accessories, and interior items.

IN ADDITION, YOU CAN EXPECT:

• A salary between $2,000 and $2,400 gross per month, based on your knowledge and experience;

• Working within an entrepreneurial family business, in a beautiful environment and an international community;

• 15 vacation days based on full-time work.

WHAT WE ASK:

• A candidate who is representative, stress-resistant, spontaneous, and sales-minded with a sense of fashion and interior design;

• Full-time availability;

• Good communication skills, both verbal and written;

• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of Papiamentu, Spanish, and Dutch is a plus.
