Located close to Flamingo International Airport and just a short distance from Kralendijk, Plaza Resort Bonaire combines hospitality, nature, and comfort in one exceptional setting. Since its acquisition by the Van der Valk family in 1995, the resort has grown into a versatile destination offering rooms and suites, a marina, restaurants and bars, swimming pools, and a private beach.

Living on Bonaire
From the Netherlands, you can reach Bonaire in approximately nine hours on a direct flight. This small tropical island of around 288 km² is located in the Caribbean Sea and is known for its tranquility, welcoming atmosphere, and stunning natural beauty.
Plaza Resort Bonaire is located just minutes from Flamingo International Airport. Within a fifteen minute walk, you can reach Kralendijk, the island’s vibrant center with its boulevard, shops, cafés, and restaurants.
Bonaire is a paradise for lovers of the ocean and nature. The crystal clear Caribbean waters, protected coral reefs, and colorful underwater world make it the perfect destination for snorkeling and diving. Windsurfers and kitesurfers can also enjoy ideal conditions almost every day of the year.
From the resort, you can see Klein Bonaire, an uninhabited island with white sandy beaches, turquoise waters, and pristine nature. Bonaire also offers salt pans, flamingos, peaceful beaches, and spectacular sunsets.

Van der Valk Plaza Beach & Dive resort is part of Van der Valk International BV (VDVI). This is a holding company to which several hotels belong.
Besides the hotels and resorts we also have 2 indoor ski domes and 3 private mental health clinics in Germany. And there are other successful companies and co-creations within the holding company. Such as almost 100 locations of Vapiano and Dunkin Donust, Techval builders of hospitality, our own farm Agro Nuland, event location EVM19, online and land-based casinos Circus.nl and Circus Grand Casino.
