Commercial manager

Van der Valk Dive & Beach Resort Bonaire is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Commercial Manager to strengthen the team. Do you have a passion for sales and marketing? Are you a proactive and results-oriented professional? Then read on quickly!

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
As a Commercial Manager you are responsible for stimulating the sale of our hotel rooms, meeting and event rooms. Both locally and internationally and for both B2B and B2C markets, you know how to enthuse potential customers with your excellent communication skills and to empower them with the unique experiences our resort has to offer.

FURTHER:

• You report to and advises the General Manager on the logical objectives of the hotel;
• You are responsible for contacting customers for requests for meetings & events (banqueting) and you manage banquet sales staff;
• You are the contactperson for tour operators, both within and outside Europe;
• Together with our Revenue Manager, General Manager and the Commercial Director, you draw up contracts for strategic partners and support them in making and executing contracts for, for example, airlines from new markets;
• You are responsible for the management of and contact with relationships;
• You visit various fairs, where you will be the business card of the hotel;
• You support the central marketing team in the Netherlands by sharing and writing content and you are responsible for the right content on the right channels (OTAs, etc.).

This hotel, together with a number of other hotels at home and abroad, falls under the Van der Valk International (VDVI) holding company. IN ADDITION, IT IS NICE IF YOU:

• Have a proactive and result-oriented mindset;
• Have strategic commercial thinking and can draw up and implement a commercial plan;
• You are able to keep your head cool at busy times;
• You want to work as a Commercial Manager for at least one year;
• Have an excellent command of both Dutch and English, both spoken and written (Papiamento is a plus);
• Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant environment in a managerial position.
