As a Buffet Runner you are responsible for ensuring that the buffet section runs smoothly. You ensure that all dishes are neatly presented and that the buffet area is clean and organized. You play an essential role in providing our guests with a pleasant dining experience.

FURTHER:

• You maintain the buffet and set it up according to Van der Valk's guidelines;
• You ensure an attractive presentation of dishes;
• You provide a clean and organized buffet environment;
• You assist in drawing up the menu and any special arrangements;
• You coordinate with colleagues to guarantee a smooth service;
• You help clean and clear tables where necessary;
• You enforce compliance with hygiene and safety regulations;
• You listen to guests' needs and questions and handle them properly.

You are great at coordinating, motivating and coaching colleagues. Hospitality is in your blood and you get energy when guests walk out the door with a good feeling.

IN ADDITION, IT IS NICE IF:

• You are a team player with strong communication skills;
• You want to work as a buffet runner for at least one year;
• You have at least 2 years of experience in luxury hotels;
• You are flexible in working hours and days, because as you know, the catering industry can sometimes be unpredictable;
• You have an eye for detail and a proactive work mentality;
• You are willing to learn and grow within your position.
