Pizza Chef

Bordering the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean Sea, Van der Valk Plaza Beach & Dive Resort is located. In the restaurant we are looking for a talented Pizza Chef who can take the menu and the entire kitchen brigade to the next level. Someone who is not afraid to push boundaries and lets guests discover new flavor combinations that will enchant them. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

As a pizza chef at Plaza Beach & Dive Resort Bonaire you are responsible for preparing delicious, authentic pizzas according to traditional Italian recipes. You have a passion for the art of pizza baking and contribute to the high quality standards for which our hotel restaurant is known.

FURTHER:

• You prepare and bake different types of pizzas with fresh ingredients;

• You are responsible for storing the ingredients;

• You create new pizza recipes and adjust the menu if necessary;

• You work together with a kitchen team to ensure smooth service;

• You assist in managing stock and placing orders;

• You are aware of hygiene standards and food safety regulations.

WHAT ABOUT YOU?

You are great at coordinating, motivating and coaching colleagues. Hospitality is in your blood and you get energy when guests walk out the door with a good feeling.

IN ADDITION, IT IS NICE IF:

• You have demonstrable experience as a pizza chef;

• You have knowledge of Italian cuisine and pizza preparation techniques;

• You show your eye for detail and pursuit of culinary perfection;

• You want to work as a pizza chef for at least one year;

• You have at least 2 years of experience in luxury hotels;

• You are a team player with strong communication skills;

• Certification in food safety is an advantage.
